Open-cell or closed-cell for Tennessee humidity?
It depends on assembly. Closed-cell is often discussed for crawl walls and where a moisture-resistant layer helps. Open-cell is common under roof decks when vapor and ventilation details are designed correctly. Neither product fixes a leaking roof or flooded crawl by itself.
Will foam trap moisture in my attic?
Poorly planned projects can create problems. Roof leaks must be fixed first. We’ll explain whether your attic will become conditioned, how ridge vents are handled, and how bath fans are ducted outside.
How long does a typical attic job take?
Many residential attics are a one- to two-day spray once prep is done. Occupants may need to leave during spraying and for a re-entry period — ask us for our re-occupancy guidance.
Can foam go over existing fiberglass?
Sometimes existing insulation is removed; sometimes a hybrid is used. Wet, compressed, or moldy material should not be buried. Expect the quote visit to include an attic inspection.
